So, this has just come to my attention. Both Stop All the Clocks (This Is the Last Time I'm Leaving Without You) and All Our Secrets Laid Bare have been nominated in the drama/angst category.

I am flailing. Whoever made this happen, I love you. Seriously, love. So much love. And so much flailing!

I imagine any number of people could have done it and would want to :-). I would myself had I known about it. Congrats! And yay for the mystery nominator too.

Well done you, you darling.

I keep meaning to email and say, I am sorry I am too cowardly to read Stop All the Clocks. But I know what your happy fics do to me - I think a sad one might break me.

*wide eyed and innocent* Ah, you don't need to write me any smutty 8th year fic, because I already just got the BEST smutty 8th year fic written for me. I wonder who wrote it? Gee, I'd like to thank them.

*snicker*

I'm still waiting for DINOROTICA COSPLAY, though :DDDD

I wouldn't argue with that, it's one of the most heartbreaking fics I've ever read, but there is so much beauty and love and humour and wonderful detail in it too, seriously it's brilliant. I would never in a hundred years have read it if I hadn't offered to britpic it, but although I cried my eyes out - and I don't usually cry in fics, possibly because I avoid such tragic ones, lol - I don't regret reading it. I want a happy version of it with the same Harry and Draco sooooooooo much, because if it had a happy ending it might actually be my favourite fanfic of all time, certainly in the top five. As it is I'll never read it again, but... yeah, if you can stand being broken there's so much wonderfulness.

Augh, you're killing me. I love fire's writing SO MUCH, and I know I am completely missing out, but I... just can't. I can't. Maybe one day I will be old and tough (well, oldER and tough) and then I will read it, and weep.

[identity profile] playing-perfect.livejournal.com 2014-04-21 04:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Bet you're glad now that I got there first on the britpic, LOL. If I hadn't I confess I'd be just the same as you. The icon sums up the way I was reading it because no way do you not know what's going to happen, it's just a case of which flashback is the final one.

But damn it's so good. If and when you read it, should that day ever come, you'll see what I mean about the utter wonderfulness too - which admittedly just makes the tragedy of it even harder to bear. So on reflection... yeah, the same story with a happy ending would be the ideal :-D

I think I had a lucky escape. XD I was an idiot for offering, but I'm just a sucker for fts fic ;-)

Looking forward to reading BOTH of these. I'm sorry I've fallen behind but both are definitely on my radar. Congrats to you. From what I hear they are well deserved. Can't wait to dive in and find out exactly how amazing they are.

[identity profile] anemonen.livejournal.com 2014-04-21 05:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, this is SO deserved!! Congrats:D
They were both totally amazing, and so very different. I'm in awe that you can write two fics that are almost opposite and still make them both so perfect and engaging. You ought to get a special award nomination for that!!! Stop All The Clocks made me sob, like shaking sobbing, and I'm not sure that has happened before. It was lovely though, and I'm so happy I read it even though it was painful.

[identity profile] avrildulac.livejournal.com 2014-04-21 05:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Congratulations on your nominations! You totally deserve it! I've rec'd these two stories to a number of friends because they're both so wonderful. *hugs*

[identity profile] barefacedbandit.livejournal.com 2014-04-21 06:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Congratulations! These nominations are so well deserved, both fics are works of art. I can't think of Stop All The Clocks without welling up.

[identity profile] barefacedbandit.livejournal.com 2014-04-22 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
Hahah, I left you an incoherent comment on Stop All the Clocks. That fic was devastating. You deserve all the praise forever for it :D
