So, this has just come to my attention. Both Stop All the Clocks (This Is the Last Time I'm Leaving Without You) and All Our Secrets Laid Bare have been nominated in the drama/angst category.

I am flailing. Whoever made this happen, I love you. Seriously, love. So much love. And so much flailing!

I wouldn't argue with that, it's one of the most heartbreaking fics I've ever read, but there is so much beauty and love and humour and wonderful detail in it too, seriously it's brilliant. I would never in a hundred years have read it if I hadn't offered to britpic it, but although I cried my eyes out - and I don't usually cry in fics, possibly because I avoid such tragic ones, lol - I don't regret reading it. I want a happy version of it with the same Harry and Draco sooooooooo much, because if it had a happy ending it might actually be my favourite fanfic of all time, certainly in the top five. As it is I'll never read it again, but... yeah, if you can stand being broken there's so much wonderfulness.

Augh, you're killing me. I love fire's writing SO MUCH, and I know I am completely missing out, but I... just can't. I can't. Maybe one day I will be old and tough (well, oldER and tough) and then I will read it, and weep.

Bet you're glad now that I got there first on the britpic, LOL. If I hadn't I confess I'd be just the same as you. The icon sums up the way I was reading it because no way do you not know what's going to happen, it's just a case of which flashback is the final one.

But damn it's so good. If and when you read it, should that day ever come, you'll see what I mean about the utter wonderfulness too - which admittedly just makes the tragedy of it even harder to bear. So on reflection... yeah, the same story with a happy ending would be the ideal :-D

I think I had a lucky escape. XD I was an idiot for offering, but I'm just a sucker for fts fic ;-)
