Claiming my DracoTopsHarry Fic

Title: In the Interest of Interhouse Cooperation
Summary: Organizing a Duelling Club was supposed to be a fun extracurricular activity for Harry’s 8th year. But add in Draco Malfoy and a malfunctioning Room of Requirement, and things can’t help but get complicated.
Rating: NC-17
Warning(s): A slight bit of dominance during sex, and maybe a teensy bit of dub-con.
Word Count: 12k

This is the fic that nearly wasn't. I was still struggling through Stop All the Clocks when I claimed this prompt, but thought it'd be a few thousand words of smut and humor for someone I felt fairly comfortable writing for, and having a deadline on it would be a good way to force my brain to switch gears after writing so much angst. This'll be easy, I thought.

(I should really stop thinking that.)

This actually took about twice as long to write as Clocks did, frighteningly enough. But once I got into it, I really had fun. It ended up much longer than I thought it'd be, mostly due to the fact that I didn't have an ending so I just kept adding to the middle until one came to me, which involved a lot of stalking Birds to get ideas for more things to add that she might like, which I really enjoyed doing. (Possibly more than I should have, but stalking = love, right?) And I'm very pleased with how it turned out.

I loved this one! As much as I'm curious about your EPIC ANGSTFIC, I can't read it. Angst squashes my writing gene into a flat, sodden pile of "I'm just gonna sit here and rock in misery and never write again ever" and I can't go there right now. MUST BE PRODUCTIVE. :(

Lol, I'm the wrong person to be asking technical questions. I think it's because I have the very basic page, whereas yours has a theme? Maybe there's a setting somewhere that you can change it, but I have no idea.

THIS FIC!! I would have been excited just that someone wrote to my prompt. I would have been super-chuffed just to get a fic written by YOU. But to get a fic written by you, to my prompt, full of stalky wonderfulness and in-jokes - OH! you are spoiling me rotten.

The stalking was a while ago, let's see what I can remember...
Duelling was because you said you liked that in All Our Secrets.
Draco being all dominant and forceful was because you wrote Turning the Tables.
Room of Requirement was because I think you said somewhere you like Room of Requirement fics but I'm bad at remembering things and have no idea where I saw this.

There was more and I can't remember it. Next time I'll write it down for you. AND THERE WILL BE A NEXT TIME OH YES THERE WILL, and next time will be when I am not stressed and panicky and sleep-deprived and, well, you're in for it now. :D

Yeah, it was just a terrible combination of being in a really bad place mentally after finishing Clocks, and running in fifty different directions to help my friend with all her last-minute wedding planning stuff plus some family drama stuff. All of that's fine now.

Sneaky-delightful is the best compliment I've had in a while. :D

Omfg, I loved this fic so much. You are a genius. I mean I still can't stop crying when I think of the fic that must not be named, and then you go and make me laugh like a loon in this - that bit where Draco says about the castle being a malfunctioning pervert is just hysterical. I'm so pleased you liked the bit with Ron, I was worried that was too close to the scene from All Our Secrets, but didn't make that connection until after I'd already turned this in. Obliviation is the way I'd wanted to end that the first time around, but it didn't fit in, sadly.
