The fic written for me for Tropes -- Potential Gravity -- posted today, and it's so, so good. (Well, so far. I haven't actually finished reading it yet...) When I signed up, I listed a whole bunch of things I like, figuring that if I had a huge list, then whoever got assigned me would be able to find at least something they enjoyed writing about. I assumed they'd pick a few things from it and go from there. But this wonderful brilliant person took that as a challenge and included nearly all of them, so the whole thing basically might as well be called Firethesound's Favorite Things and I just...

But they went one step beyond that, and it's absolutely undone me. There's Mug-Harry. Mug-Harry is in this fic. AND THERE IS WINKING. MUG-HARRY WINKING. SAUCILY. And I am entirely unashamed to admit that I screamed out loud, flailed my arms, and then burst into tears. And that's another thing I said I liked, fics that make me cry, and maybe this wasn't where the author intended me to do it, but I have, so I guess that's a success. I just... I haven't been in a terribly good place recently, mentally or emotionally, and the fact that someone cared this fucking much about putting together a story I'd like that they'd go so far as taking the ridiculous random list of things I like and working out a story that slots it all together, and then do more on top of that, I just have no idea what to do with it. Except cry, apparently. And tell everyone else I know to read this too.

I'm going to go make a cup of tea, calm the fuck down, and finish reading.

EDIT: Finished it, it was awesome. I am flailing.

Omg, I am still thinking about that fic. I keep just going and adding little bits to my comment. I'll just be minding my own business and something from it pops into my head and I get flaily all over again.

You know those heat reactive mugs? There needs to be one of those with saucily winking Harry on it, then we can all have the muggle version XD

I keep thinking of things I'd like to comment on as well that I somehow managed to miss, but so far I've talked myself out of adding more. Because there really really doesn't need to be more, lol. So much flailing, though. I'm still hardly able to believe that someone wrote something that hits all of my likes so perfectly.

I want a heat reactive mug with a saucily winking Harry on it. Oh, that would be so wonderful!! :D
