January Wrap-Up / February Goals

January
Off to a bit of a slower start this year, but I feel like I found my focus toward the end of the month and felt like I really got some momentum going. Had a handful of days where I wasn't feeling well, or was too busy, but overall I think going for the Habit Pledge for GYWO this year was a good call. There were a bunch of days where the only reason I made words at all was so that I could be able to check off the day, and it's amazing how those twenty-minutes-here-thirty-minutes-there really added up over the course of the month!
January Wrap-Up : I finished the month with 12,512 words which didn't make my goal of 40k but 12.5k is far more than I've been doing recently. We'd have to go all the way back to March of last year to reach a month that was more productive, so I'm more than satisfied with this. A total of 4 WIPs got new words: 10,945 words went into 1 HP fic, and 1567 words went into 3 MCU fics.

And I'm hoping to keep that momentum going! I do have some Real Life Stuff that's going to be stealing away some of my writing time this, but I hope that it won't have too big an impact. Kind of bummed that I'm not in a place where it makes sense to sign up for Harry/Draco Big Bang, since that sounded like a lot of fun, but I know it's for the best that I give it a pass. I think that 50k with a deadline is more than I can comfortably commit to right now, especially since there would be an artist involved.
February Wordcount Goal : 20k which is, I think, very reasonable.
February Fics to Focus On
☆ Fandom Trumps Hate : Currently 16,254 words and I have finally finally FINALLY reached the point on it where it's picked up some momentum and the words are coming a little easier. I've got my first chapter finished and sent off for feedback, a good handle on what happens in at least the next few, and I'm getting really excited about it. Estimated wordcount, 80k.
