Title: REVOLVEVLOVER
Rating: NC-17
Career Choices: Harry - Hit Wizard; Draco - Anti-Government Extremist
Warnings: Violence and other dark themes, excessive use of the word "fuck"
Summary: The work Harry does is justifiable. It’s justice. He works for his country, and his country is a republic—the magical side, anyway. It’s not laudable work, it’s not work he’s proud of, but it’s necessary work. Harry has always taken the necessary jobs that no one else has the stomach for. It's just that he's never deciphered a kill sheet and seen Draco Malfoy's name on it.

Author's Notes: This work is inspired by Zero at the Bone by Jane Seville. Some of the situations as well as a few lines of dialogue and descriptions come from there. A great big THANK YOU goes to [livejournal.com profile] sophie_french for the beta.

So, this one is mine. Well, half-mine. I co-wrote this story with the lovely and amazingly-talented [livejournal.com profile] zeitgeistic. I'll admit, I was a little nervous going into it because I've never co-written anything before and wasn't quite sure what to expect or how much I'd have to compromise what I wanted and where I wanted the story to go in order to fit what she wanted and where she wanted the story to go. As it turns out, I really needn't have worried. Writing with zeitgeistic was a tremendously positive experience. Everything she wrote and all the ideas she came up with lined up almost flawlessly with what I wanted to do and the story I had in my head, and really the biggest problem I had was they every time she added new scenes I'd end up flailing and fangirling over her awesome writing, which is not actually a bad problem to have, as far as problems go. Overall, putting this story together felt seamless.

And I love the story we told. It's by far the plottiest thing I've done, and the most fast-paced and action-y, and I think it says some very interesting things about "the greater good" and really, this was the most fun I've had while writing in a long time. Thanks so much to Z for being so wonderful to work with, and to Sophie for the fantastic beta-work, and of course to everyone who read and recced and commented. Love you guys. <3

ILU!!! It was SO amazing to write with you. It really felt like everything slotted into place so very easily (minus me having to move twice, etc etc). It never felt like I didn't know where you wanted to take the story, or that we were trying to write in two different directions. I learned so much from writing with you and I'd definitely love to do it again.

You are awesome for being willing to take on such a crazy prompt, too!

!!!!...! I haven't had a chance to leave a proper review for this yet. But in a nutshell, I ADORE this rollercoaster of a story. I read it twice and spent the rest of my energy before falling asleep at 4am on a Monday to rave to my best friend that she needs to drop every other story I've recced and read this one now. Then at work, I couldn't concentrate on anything. Lack of sleep might have contributed to my state but really, I just couldn't stop gossiping to said friend about this and the ending and how it was probably you and Z. :) :) :) I love that you two are open to writing together again. Dream come truuuuue. *glomps*

I ENJOYED THE FIC SO MUCH!!!!

Hitwizard Harry was SO compelling, and snarky outsider tech-savvy Draco was absolutely perfect. The level of detail, the linguistic mastery, the vividness of the events made this a wonderful read. Brave stuff!!!! Thank you so much for writing it.
