There's a big boost of satisfaction that comes with actually being able to finish a thing, so yay for that!
omg YES. So much this. I really really want to get back in the habit of doing something short and silly at least every couple of months, but lately A) I feel guilty any time I'm not working on fandom trumps hate since it's so ridiculously overdue and B) I've been writing so slowly that even silly little pwps or whatever are taking me months to get written ::flail::
