The Slytherins deserved to win, as their points were earned steadily over the course of a year. Many of them studied so hard to get those points. Even if Dumbledore still gave the Gryffindors all those points for basically breaking every rule in the book, the Slytherins should've won by a point.

In my view, J.K Rowling always gave Harry and the other Gryffindors everything they wanted without them having to make much of an effort. Reading the books, the Golden Trio do get rewarded for breaking the rules, whilst other children would've been punished. It's one of the things that I've noticed reading the books as an adult, when I used to just let it go as a child and not really notice it.

I think I did about the same amount of reading I normally do, but I did a TON more commenting. I'm pretty bad about leaving comments on fics that aren't H/D, and I never leave comments on older fics unless they're by someone I know, and mostly not even then. ::is a bad comment-leaver::

There's not much of it in livejournal, but back in the day, Hufflepuff was a house no one wanted to be on, and I never knew why! I know some of the things said in the book didn't paint as the coolest house or anything, but I've always loved it so much.

I'm imagining a 7th year thing, lots of danger and tension and stuff, and Susan Bones and Hannah Abbott being main characters in it, and then being all sorts of kick-ass because Hufflepuff girls are awesome and I've always been a little bit sad they always seem to get brushed aside.
