Another good and relatively productive week!

New words this week : 4604 words which brings my January wordcount to 10,795 / 40,000 and thrilled beyond words to have had a 10k+ month! Last March was the last time I had one of those so I'm feeling really really good about this. :D

WIPs worked on this week : 1, no new WIPs (yay!)

☆ Fandom Trumps Hate : 4604 words which brings the total to 14,537 words. It's mostly in bits and pieces, but I've got one completed scene(!!!) and the rest of it finally got large enough that it made sense for me to break it up into chapters(!!!!!). So now I have 5 googledocs cluttering up my browser instead of 1, but my fic is a lot more organized, and I'm starting to get a better picture of what this thing is going to look like when it's finished. I think it's going to end up somewhere around 8-10 chapters in total? Although I could be wildly wrong on that, I certainly have before. But yeah, progress!

Another week, more words! Still working through comment replies as well.

New words this week : 3624 words which brings my January wordcount to 4304 / 40,000, and I've had not one but TWO 1k+ days which, omg. It feels so fantastic to be making words again. Not all of them were on the thing I am supposed to be making words on, but words! WORDS!! :D

☆ Fandom Trumps Hate : 2435 words which brings the total to 8702 words and I finally finally FINALLY reached the tipping point on it where it's got enough momentum that the words are coming easier. What a fucking relief. Now I'm just trying to get the beginning in good enough shape to send it off for feedback.

MCU
☆ Pittsburgh (working title) : 248 words which brings the total to 19,118. No actual work on this one, just jotting down a snippet of dialogue that popped into my head.

☆ Sex Pollen (working title) : 1146 words I think? I'm pretty sure I had closer to 1500, but this is where the universe decided to step in and slap me down, because when I hit save, Word crashed and took my draft with it. And then only recovered about 200 words when I restarted ugggggh. It wasn't anything brilliant, I just had the random urge to write sex pollen + pining, as you do. Anyhow, 1146 was the last wordcount I had jotted down, and so we're going with that, and next week I will keep my focus better.

Oops, haven't been so great about posting these updates recently... As always, December's been more than a little hectic and writing has still been a struggle, so there really wasn't much to report anyhow up until now. I had a couple of writing afternoons over the past week, which is where most of the wordcount's come from, before I switched over to a last desperate attempt to get caught up on my comment replies before the year is out.

New words this week : 2021 words which brings my November wordcount goal to 2884 / 10,000, and I don't anticipate it climbing up much higher than that. We head home for the holidays tomorrow and if it's the same as years past (and I don't have any reason to believe it'll be otherwise) I'll barely have a spare minute to breathe, let alone time to sit down at my computer for any writing.

☆ Fandom Trumps Hate : 2021 words which brings the total to 5587 words and I'm still not making as much headway on it as I'd like. My doc so far is a series of paragraphs and scene snippets, which while they're not anything cohesive yet, I've got the first... I'd say maybe 30% of the story pretty well mapped out by now. I also had the pleasure of talking it through with the wonderful dicta_contrion, and that was really helpful as well. Still not sure what's going on in the middle of it, but I have a better idea of what I want the story as a whole to accomplish. When I get back from the holidays I'm going to start putting in some serious writing hours on it, because even the most stubborn of stories manage to take off within the first 7-8k for me, and we're nearly there on it, so. ::crosses fingers::
