January Wrap Up / February Goal Post

2021 Total Wordcount Goal : 4081 / 100,000
2021 Total Writing Days : 7 / 120
JANUARY
As always, we kicked off January with the best of intentions and--as usual--fell well short of them. I misjudged just how stressful this month was going to be and then my anxiety was high and I'm trying to finish up some non-writing stuff and... yep.
January Wrap-Up : I finished the month with 4081 words which was short of my goal, but seeing it with the total days I actually did writing... isn't too bad? At least it gives me hope that if I can get back into the habit of regular writing, I can make up the wordage I lost this month. A total of 3 WIPs got new words, with all 4081 going into 3 HP fics.
I also have 1 completed fic! I finished off the next part of Don't Think Twice, I just haven't yet edited it so it's still unposted. But, finished!! :D
FEBRUARY
Really need to get back into the habit of regular writing. Towards the end of 2020 when I was working on my Erised fic, I got into a really good rhythm of sitting down for 1-2 sprints in the evening, and I want to get that going again.
February Wordcount Goal : 10k and we'll see if I have any better luck with it this month than I did last month or if I'm still aiming too high. At the very least I'm going to aim for more days with writing than last month, which I hope will be half the battle.
February Fics to Focus On
☆ HDBB Fic : I need to give this a reread.
☆ There Is Always the Moon : I've finished my first reread on this, and now need to do some light edits because, wow, typos. And then I need to sit down and start hammering out an outline for what I'm going to do to the final chapter(s). I don't usually bother with outlines, but I think that for this one I need to because there's a lot going on with it and it'll help me keep track of what's happened and what needs to happen etc etc. I'm hoping that I'll be able to get through this relatively quickly, but sometimes rewriting something can be harder than just writing it from the start, so we'll see how it goes once I actually get into it.
☆ Stay : I need to reread the earlier parts to refresh my memory on the details, finish up edits, get it beta-ed, and post it.
