stupid and marvelous

Total words this week : 1082 words bringing my total for the month up to 6335 / 40000. It has been something of A Week and I am so fucking tired.

Draco Tops Harry fic : 548 words which brings the total up to 5140. Finally FINALLY making progress on this (I guess, for a given value of "progress"? The words are finally starting to come easier, at least.) It's running longer than I thought it would (surprise!) but I'm feeling pretty good about it so far. It's the most ridiculously self-indulgent thing I have written in a really really long time and so far I might as well just title it All of FTS's Very Favorite Things.

Last Time (working title) : 92 words which brings the total up to 3935. This is an old WIP I don't have any intention of working on right now, but I cut a chunk of dialogue out of DTH and recycled it here because I think it's a good little piece of banter and I didn't want to lose it.

The Stars Are Perfect (But Not Us, Not Us) (tentative title) aka: Erised 2016 Attempt #1 : 406 words which brings the total up to 15009. Had a neat idea for a scene that I sketched out before I forgot it, and then, in a stunning lack of willpower, instead of going back to working on DTH, I went poking through the rest of this one, adding a dozen words here, a few more words there, and ended up wasting an entire block of writing time on it. But every time I open it up to add notes or a scene idea, my brain just starts screaming at me YES THIS ONE WRITE THIS ONE NOW NOW NOW and... it's hard to ignore XD

Total words this week: 3489 A good start to the year, even though I think most of these were written at the very tail end of December. Still! I am happy with this number.

HP:
Stay aka Don't Think Twice #5 : 227 words bringing the total up to 3652. It's growing slowly, but we're getting there. I've got one paragraph to fill in and then I can call the beginning done (!!!) and another short scene for set-up to write, and then that just leaves writing smut and I'm hoping that'll go quick once I get to that point.

Auror Partners FWB (working title) : 98 words on a new story. It's... basically what it says on the tin. I want it to be somewhere around 15-20k, mostly smut, but who knows what's going to happen once I start making words on it. ::flings hands in the air:: But I do have a pretty neat opening paragraph now, so.

The Swollen Door : 1141 words on a new story. This is from a tumblr meme (here) where people sent me with story titles and I said what story I thought would go with them, and then this one sort of set up camp in the back of my brain. I need to do a lot more planning before I tackle it, and I still have absolutely no earthly idea how I'd end it, but I've been thinking about it on and off and came up with the way I want to begin it, so I wanted to get that on paper before I forgot it. Probably won't be touching this again for a while.

2 Mystery Works aka Erised 2016 Attempt #1 and Erised 2016 Attempt #2 : A total of 1502 words between the two of them, and I can't say any more than that until after next week because they're both pretty similar to what I ended up submitting. (Almost like I was writing them all off the same list of likes and dislikes!) I am excited about both of them, though, so I will probably be talking more about plans to finish them after reveals go up.

MCU:
Double Winter Soldier (working title) : 524 words bringing the total up to 911. I think I figured out how I want to structure this story and started poking around with different narrators and voices. But progress was made! I'm still working out what path I want it to take, but I think I'm getting close to being able to make some real wordage on this.
